There’s one more step to complete.
Yay, you’ve worked hard to complete your degree. You’ve worked with clients and decided you still want to be a therapist.
And now you need to find a supervisor. You may be wondering how to find the right fit and how you know if a person is the RIGHT fit. Ask yourself, “What do I want to get from supervision besides meeting the minimum requirements?”
I’ve been where you are now.
Clinical supervision is more than meeting the minimum requirements of 3000 hours, right? It’s also about forming a professional relationship with someone who wants you to grow as a therapist and help add to the foundation laid from your previous training.
In supervision, you’ll experience me as a coach, teacher, administrator, mentor, and gatekeeper of the MFT and counseling professions. We’ll explore your professional goals for becoming the type of therapist you desire to be and develop a plan to help you get there. The process is collaborative.
The critical part is the relationship that allows you to feel comfortable with not knowing AND growing. I provide a warm environment where you can be yourself, ask questions, share your opinions, and explore the self of the therapist.
Whether we meet virtually or in person, supervision is highly effective, and the purpose is the same – fostering an environment for growth and collaboration as you continue your journey to become more confident and competent as a therapist while feeling supported.
Let’s schedule a free consultation to chat to see if we are a good fit.
